Annual Village Snowman competition announced by Santa Claus.

Hundreds of years ago, when the village was new, Santa Claus was trying to think of a fun activity to make into an annual event. He wasn't watching where he was walking and he rolled down a hill. By the time he had reached the bottom, he was a huge ball of snow. A group of young elves used this big ball of snow as the base of a giant man of snow. When Santa Claus finally got out of the giant snowball, he was excited to see the elves' man of snow, or Snowman, as he called it. And that was the beginning of the annual Village Snowman competition.

SANTA'S JOB JUST GOT EASIER!

Santa's head elf reported today to the Holiday Post that while Santa was high up in the sky testing out his new sleigh, the fog, rain and snow was so bad that it was really hard to see through. When the

elves heard this, they quickly set to working on a new gadget that lights up to help Santa Claus locate houses from below. They call it the Santa Beacon. Buy Now!

Follow Santa's progress on Christmas Eve with the Santa Spotter on claus.com. Check how many cookies he eats and how many glasses of milk he drinks as he makes his way around the world!

It's the day for videos and DVDs! Unfortunately, the elves are spending so much time watching them, that so far they are falling short of the number children have asked for. They will be working extra tonight to finish the job!
